Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to investigate the effectiveness of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) in teaching Akidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed and Ethics) at MI Al-Maarif Lelo Beroangin. Akidah Akhlak plays a crucial role in shaping students' spiritual and moral development, and integrating it into the learning process is essential for fostering good character and faith among young learners. The research focuses on the implementation of IBL as a pedagogical approach to engage students in deeper learning, critical thinking, and active participation, enabling them to better internalize and apply Islamic values in their daily lives.
The study involves students from grade 5 of MI Al-Maarif Lelo Beroangin. Data is collected through classroom observations, student interviews, and pre- and post-assessment surveys to evaluate changes in students' understanding and behavior related to Akidah Akhlak. The research process is carried out in two cycles, where in each cycle, students are presented with real-life scenarios and encouraged to explore and discuss Islamic teachings through guided inquiry and reflection.
The findings suggest that the implementation of Inquiry-Based Learning enhances students' engagement, encourages critical thinking, and promotes the practical application of Akidah Akhlak in their lives. Students become more active in discussions, demonstrate a deeper understanding of Islamic ethics, and show improvements in their behavior, demonstrating the effectiveness of IBL in moral and faith education.
The study recommends the integration of IBL as a continuous strategy in teaching Akidah Akhlak, as it fosters a more meaningful and impactful learning experience, empowering students to reflect on and embody Islamic values.
