Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of interactive learning strategies in enhancing early literacy skills at RA Al Muttaqiin. Early literacy development is crucial for young children as it lays the foundation for future academic success. However, many children in early childhood education face challenges in developing reading and writing skills due to traditional teaching methods that do not fully engage them. Interactive learning, which encourages active participation, collaboration, and hands-on activities, has been shown to be an effective approach for fostering better literacy skills. This research investigates how interactive learning methods can be applied in RA Al Muttaqiin to improve students' early literacy abilities.

The study employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, implemented in two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, action, observation, and reflection, allowing for continuous improvement based on the findings. Data collection includes student assessments, classroom observations, and teacher interviews to evaluate the impact of interactive learning on literacy skills. The research specifically focuses on children's ability to recognize letters, develop vocabulary, and improve their reading and writing skills through engaging and interactive activities.

The findings of this study indicate that interactive learning significantly improves children's early literacy skills. Students demonstrated higher levels of engagement, improved letter recognition, and greater enthusiasm for reading and writing tasks. Additionally, collaborative activities provided a positive learning environment, fostering peer interaction and social development. These results suggest that incorporating interactive learning into the curriculum at RA Al Muttaqiin can effectively enhance early literacy outcomes.

This research provides valuable insights for educators at RA Al Muttaqiin and other early childhood institutions, emphasizing the importance of interactive learning in promoting early literacy development.
