Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to explore the implementation of Exploratory Learning in enhancing students’ understanding of the Quran and Hadith at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ma'arif Roka-Belo-Bima, NTB. Exploratory Learning encourages students to actively engage in discovering knowledge through inquiry, exploration, and critical thinking, which are essential in deepening their understanding of religious texts. The research uses a qualitative approach, combining classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and surveys of students to assess the impact of Exploratory Learning on students' comprehension and interpretation of the Quran and Hadith. The findings indicate that when students are given the opportunity to explore the meanings, contexts, and applications of Quranic verses and Hadiths, they are able to develop a deeper, more personal connection to the material. Students demonstrated greater enthusiasm, critical thinking, and reflective understanding in their learning process, particularly through group discussions and research-based activities. However, challenges such as varying levels of student motivation and the need for adequate resources were identified. This study highlights the importance of teacher facilitation in guiding students through the exploration process, ensuring that they stay focused and motivated. Overall, the research concludes that Exploratory Learning is an effective approach to teaching the Quran and Hadith, as it fosters a more interactive and meaningful learning experience, encouraging students to internalize and apply Islamic teachings in their daily lives.
