Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of Aqidah and Akhlak at MA Ash Siddik Mumbu through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. Discovery Learning is an active learning approach where students are encouraged to explore, analyze, and construct their own understanding of the subject matter. In the context of Aqidah and Akhlak, this model promotes critical thinking and personal reflection on Islamic teachings, allowing students to connect religious values with real-life situations.

The research adopts a qualitative approach, focusing on classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of students’ learning outcomes. The study found that Discovery Learning significantly enhanced students’ engagement and understanding of Aqidah and Akhlak. Students were able to explore the concepts of faith and moral conduct more deeply through activities such as discussions, problem-solving, and collaborative projects. This active involvement led to a more profound connection with the material, encouraging students to internalize and apply these teachings in their daily lives.

Additionally, the study highlights the importance of teacher facilitation in guiding students through the discovery process. Teachers played a crucial role in creating a learning environment that encouraged exploration and reflection, while also providing guidance and feedback to help students refine their understanding.

In conclusion, the implementation of Discovery Learning at MA Ash Siddik Mumbu has proven to be an effective method for enhancing students' understanding of Aqidah and Akhlak, fostering critical thinking, and promoting the application of Islamic values in everyday life.
