Abstract
This study investigates the use of interactive media to enhance the understanding of the ecosystem concept through the inquiry method among fourth-grade students at MIS Alkhairaat Tilamuta. The goal of this research is to assess whether interactive media, when combined with the inquiry method, can improve students' comprehension of ecosystem-related topics. During the study, students were engaged in interactive learning activities using digital media, such as videos, virtual simulations, and interactive diagrams, to explore the components and functions of ecosystems. The inquiry method encouraged students to ask questions, explore answers, and engage in discussions to deepen their understanding. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' ability to explain ecosystem concepts, as they could identify the components of ecosystems, such as producers, consumers, and decomposers, and understand their interrelationships. The use of interactive media helped students visualize abstract concepts and engage actively in the learning process, fostering a more dynamic and engaging classroom environment. This study concludes that combining interactive media with the inquiry method is an effective strategy for enhancing students' understanding of complex science topics, such as ecosystems, in elementary education.
