Abstract

This study explores the use of Augmented Reality (AR) media to enhance the understanding of Fardhu Salat (obligatory prayer) among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 001 Bagan Batu Kota. The goal of this research is to evaluate whether integrating AR technology into the teaching of Fardhu Salat can improve students' comprehension of its steps, motions, and significance. Students were introduced to AR-based educational content that allowed them to visualize the correct postures and actions required during the Salat, as well as the spiritual meaning behind each step. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' ability to perform the Salat correctly and in their understanding of its religious importance. AR media provided an interactive and engaging learning experience, which enhanced students' retention and understanding of the material. This study concludes that AR can be an effective tool in religious education, offering an innovative and dynamic approach to teaching Fardhu Salat, making learning more engaging, and improving both knowledge and practical skills.
