Abstract
This classroom action research aims to explore the use of student-created podcasts in teaching the history of Prophet Muhammad SAW to develop literacy skills in the fifth-grade students of SDN 08 Supayang. The study involved 20 students and was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, students learned about the history of Prophet Muhammad SAW through traditional methods, such as reading textbooks and lectures. In the second cycle, students created their own podcasts to explain key events in the Prophet's life, encouraging them to engage in research, synthesis, and communication. The findings indicate that students' understanding of the material improved significantly, as did their literacy skills, particularly in writing, speaking, and critical thinking. Students also became more confident in expressing their thoughts and were more engaged in learning. The study concludes that podcasting is an effective method to enhance students' literacy skills, foster creativity, and provide a deeper understanding of historical content, while also increasing their engagement in the learning process.
