Abstract

This classroom action research aims to examine the use of 2D Islamic animation media to enhance students' understanding of virtuous moral values (Akhlak Terpuji) among eighth-grade students at MTs Darul Hikmah Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra. The study involved 20 students and was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, traditional teaching methods were used, while in the second cycle, 2D Islamic animation was introduced as a media tool to present the material. The results showed a significant improvement in students' engagement and understanding of the moral values depicted in the animation. The use of animation helped simplify complex moral lessons, making them more relatable and engaging for students. The research concludes that 2D Islamic animation media is an effective tool to improve students' comprehension of Akhlak Terpuji, as it offers an interactive, visual, and accessible approach to learning that encourages students to reflect on their own behavior in a meaningful way.
