Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the application of group discussion-based case study methods to enhance students' understanding and application of Islamic History and Culture (SKI) at MIS Lil Muqorrobien Al Islami, involving 20 students. The primary objective of this research is to examine how using real-life historical case studies can help students connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications in their daily lives. Data was collected through classroom observations, student surveys, and teacher interviews to assess the impact of this method on student engagement, critical thinking, and understanding of Islamic history. The results show that the case study method significantly improved students' ability to analyze historical events, discuss key concepts in depth, and better apply the lessons learned from Islamic history to their personal and social contexts. Additionally, the method fostered greater collaboration and communication skills among students, as they worked together to solve case-based problems. This study concludes that group discussion-based case studies are an effective and engaging approach to teaching Islamic history, promoting deeper learning and practical application of values. The findings suggest that this approach should be further explored and applied in other educational settings to enhance student learning outcomes.
