Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) study aims to examine the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning technique to enhance students' understanding of mathematical concepts at MI Ma'arif Sidomulyo. The research involves 20 students in the fourth grade. The primary objective is to evaluate how the Jigsaw method, which encourages collaborative group work, can improve students' ability to grasp mathematical concepts and solve problems. Data was collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and teacher interviews. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding and engagement in mathematics after the implementation of the Jigsaw method. Students demonstrated better teamwork, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the material. This method also increased students' motivation to actively participate in the learning process. The study concludes that the Jigsaw cooperative learning technique is an effective method for enhancing mathematical comprehension and fostering collaborative learning environments. It is recommended that this method be applied in other schools to further improve the quality of mathematics education.
