Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the application of the play-based learning method to enhance the understanding of moral values (akhlak) among early childhood students at RA Roudlotul Jannah. The study involves 20 students in the kindergarten class. The primary objective of this research is to assess how play-based learning can improve students' understanding and application of core Islamic values such as honesty, respect, and kindness. Data was collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and student assessments. The findings indicate that play-based learning significantly improved students' understanding of moral values by engaging them in interactive and enjoyable activities. Through games, storytelling, and role-playing, students could internalize important moral concepts in a fun and meaningful way. This study concludes that the play-based learning method is an effective approach for teaching moral values to young children, fostering a deeper understanding and application of these values in their daily lives. The study suggests that this method should be implemented in other early childhood educational settings to enhance character education and promote a positive learning environment.
