Abstract

This study investigates the innovation of IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) learning through the project-based learning approach to enhance students' skills in observing and analyzing natural phenomena at MI Islamiyah 01 Tuwel. The research involved 20 students in grade V. The primary aim was to assess how project-based learning can improve students' abilities to engage with, observe, and analyze natural phenomena such as weather patterns, plant growth, and environmental changes. Data was collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and interviews with teachers. The findings indicate that project-based learning significantly enhanced students' critical thinking and observational skills, allowing them to apply scientific methods in real-world contexts. Additionally, students demonstrated increased enthusiasm for learning and improved collaboration in group projects. This study concludes that project-based learning is an effective strategy for fostering a deeper understanding of natural science concepts and enhancing students' ability to analyze and interpret scientific phenomena. The study suggests that this approach should be further implemented in other schools to improve the quality of IPAS education and promote active learning.
