Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) explores the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning method to improve students' understanding of Islamic moral values in the context of Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) at SDN 007 Pematang Ibul. The study aims to enhance student engagement and comprehension of Islamic ethics by utilizing collaborative learning strategies that encourage peer interaction and active participation. In each cycle, students were tasked with discussing moral values from Islamic teachings, engaging in pair work to share insights, and presenting their conclusions to the class. Data were collected through observations, student interviews, and assessments to evaluate changes in students' understanding and engagement. The results indicate that the TPS method significantly improved students' ability to articulate and apply Islamic moral values in their daily lives. Additionally, the method fostered a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where students felt more comfortable sharing their thoughts and learning collaboratively. This research suggests that the Think-Pair-Share method is an effective strategy to promote active learning and enhance the comprehension of Islamic values in elementary school PAI education.
