Abstract
This study investigates the application of Project-Based Learning (PBL) to enhance students' understanding of Islamic values and character development at SDS Almawaddah. PBL is an educational method that encourages students to actively engage in real-world projects that require problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. The focus of this research is to examine how integrating Islamic values into PBL activities can deepen students' comprehension and application of moral teachings. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student feedback. The findings indicate that PBL significantly increases students' engagement in learning, as they are given the opportunity to apply the values they learn in tangible, real-world contexts. Additionally, students showed improvements in character traits such as teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Teachers noted that students demonstrated a better understanding of Islamic values, particularly in areas like kindness, honesty, and helping others. This study suggests that PBL is an effective method to teach Islamic values while fostering positive character development in students. The results emphasize the importance of incorporating project-based learning strategies in religious education to make learning more meaningful and applicable to students’ everyday lives
