Abstract
This study aims to explore the use of puzzle-based games to enhance fine motor skills in children at RA Nurul Hidayah. Fine motor skills are essential for young children’s development, as they are involved in tasks such as writing, drawing, and using utensils. Puzzle-based games, which require children to manipulate and assemble pieces, provide an engaging way to improve hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and problem-solving abilities. In this research, puzzle activities were integrated into the learning process to assess their impact on children’s fine motor development. Data was collected through observations, assessments of motor skills before and after the intervention, and feedback from teachers. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s ability to handle small puzzle pieces, as well as better coordination between their hands and eyes. Additionally, children displayed greater concentration and patience when completing puzzles, which contributed to their overall fine motor development. This study concludes that puzzle-based games are an effective and enjoyable way to support the development of fine motor skills in early childhood education, providing children with a fun and interactive method of enhancing their physical and cognitive abilities.
