Abstract
This study aims to explore the use of stringing activities (meronce) to enhance fine motor skills in children at RA Nurul Hidayah. Fine motor skills are crucial for early childhood development as they affect tasks such as writing, drawing, and using utensils. The activity of stringing beads or other small objects helps children develop hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail, which are essential components of fine motor skills. This research involved implementing stringing activities as part of the regular classroom routine, where children were given various materials to string and create simple patterns. Data were collected through observations, assessments of children's motor skills before and after the intervention, and feedback from teachers. The results showed a significant improvement in children's ability to handle small objects, their coordination, and their concentration. The children became more proficient in tasks requiring fine motor precision and showed increased confidence in their ability to perform these tasks. This study concludes that incorporating stringing activities into early childhood education can be an effective and enjoyable way to improve fine motor skills in young children, promoting their overall development.
