Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance the psychomotor development of children at RA BA Aisyiyah Kejobong through the use of role-playing learning activities. Psychomotor development, including physical coordination, motor skills, and the ability to express emotions through movement, is essential in early childhood education. The research was conducted over two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Data were gathered through direct classroom observations, video recordings of children’s participation, and teacher reflections. The results showed that role-playing activities significantly improved both fine and gross motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination and body movement accuracy. Furthermore, the children displayed greater confidence in expressing emotions through physical actions, which also enhanced their emotional and social development. This study underscores the value of interactive and engaging learning methods like role-playing in promoting psychomotor growth and suggests that such approaches can be effectively integrated into other early childhood education programs to support comprehensive child development.
