Abstract

Education is essential for every human being. Numerous studies are conducted with the goal of continually improving existing education. The development of learning models for quality education, both nationally and internationally, is becoming increasingly clear. Educational development must improve year after year to meet the needs of the ever-evolving era, which is constantly evolving with the currents of globalization. This ongoing renewal process also impacts educational curricula in both schools and universities. Therefore, curriculum reform is necessary so that classroom learning models and activities can stimulate the growth of creative, critical, and active thinking. Motivation is closely related to student creativity. With certain teaching techniques, student motivation can be directed toward creative activities. When students' existing motivation is faced with obstacles, such as sudden exams or school regulations, Hamalik argues that "the use of learning media in the teaching and learning process can spark new desires and interests, stimulate motivation and stimulate learning activities, and even have psychological effects on students." Education, which is constantly undergoing change and improvement, is expected to improve the quality of human resources (HR). This is crucial in this era of globalization so that we can compete for a better life. According to Sugihartono (2012:3), education is a conscious and deliberate effort to change human behavior, both individually and in groups, to mature human beings through teaching and training. By striving for varied and high-quality teaching, it is hoped that it will help students achieve their learning goals in a mature and optimal manner and increase their enthusiasm and motivation to learn with the support of teachers. However, recently, students' enthusiasm for learning has been declining, and their grades have also been getting lower, especially in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education.
