Abstract
This classroom action research aims to enhance students’ understanding of
Islamic history and boost their enthusiasm for learning through the
implementation of the Time Travel Storytelling technique supported by
interactive multimedia. The research was conducted in response to the
observation that many students in Grade VI at MIS Al-Inayah found the
SKI (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam) subject monotonous and difficult to
relate to, often treating historical content as mere memorization. The study
was carried out in two cycles, including planning, action, observation, and
reflection stages. The Time Travel Storytelling method was designed to
simulate a “journey through time,” allowing students to experience
historical events vividly through visual narratives, sound effects, and
engaging storytelling. The findings revealed a significant increase in both
student comprehension and classroom participation. Students
demonstrated better recall of historical figures and events, and expressed
excitement about history lessons. This approach transformed history
learning into an interactive, meaningful, and imaginative experience. The
research concluded that integrating storytelling with multimedia can
create a more dynamic and student-centered learning environment,
especially for subjects traditionally taught through rote memorization.
