Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students' understanding of
Fiqh and Akhlak by implementing the gamification method through a
mobile application at SMPN 1 Kerumutan. The research was conducted
due to the observation that students found traditional learning methods for
these subjects to be monotonous and disengaging, which hindered their
ability to grasp and apply the values taught. The study was carried out in
two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection
stages. The mobile application used gamification elements, such as
quizzes, challenges, and rewards, to create an interactive and enjoyable
learning environment. The results of the study showed a significant
improvement in students' engagement, understanding, and retention of
Fiqh and Akhlak concepts. Students were more motivated to participate in
learning activities, and their ability to apply the moral and religious values
learned increased. The study concluded that the integration of
gamification through a mobile application can significantly enhance
students' interest and comprehension in Fiqh and Akhlak, making learning
more fun, interactive, and meaningful.
