Abstract
This classroom action research aims to enhance Grade V students’
understanding of the Pillars of Islam through the implementation of an
interactive video-based learning method at SD Negeri 001 Panipahan.
The research was conducted due to the observation that students often
struggle to grasp abstract religious concepts through traditional methods.
The study was implemented in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of
planning, action, observation, and reflection. The interactive video-based
method used multimedia elements, including animated videos, audio, and
quizzes, to present the Pillars of Islam in an engaging and accessible way.
The results showed that students were more motivated and engaged, with
85% of the students demonstrating a better understanding of the Five
Pillars. Additionally, their ability to explain and apply the concepts in
daily life improved. The study concluded that interactive video-based
learning is an effective tool for teaching Islamic studies, as it enhances
student engagement and helps students retain complex religious concepts
in a fun and meaningful way
