Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to investigate the effectiveness of interactive teaching methods in enhancing early childhood learning at RA Plus Al-Islam, Pasirjeungjing Kaler. Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping the foundational skills of young learners, but often, traditional teaching methods may fail to engage children effectively in the learning process. Interactive teaching methods, which involve hands-on activities, peer collaboration, and active student participation, are implemented to address these challenges. This study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. Data was collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and interviews with both teachers and students. The findings reveal that interactive teaching methods significantly improved children's engagement, cognitive development, and social skills. Children demonstrated greater enthusiasm in participating in activities such as storytelling, group discussions, and practical exercises, which enhanced their understanding of various concepts. Moreover, the collaborative nature of the activities fostered stronger communication skills and teamwork among students. The research concludes that interactive teaching methods are an effective approach for enhancing early childhood learning, as they promote active engagement, critical thinking, and social interaction. The study offers valuable insights for educators seeking to implement more engaging and child-centered teaching strategies in early childhood education.
